Report: Russia ranks 33rd world’s most miserable economy

MOSCOW, Feb 16 (PRIME) -- Russia has obtained the 33rd place in Bloomberg’s Misery Index of the world’s most miserable economies in 2018, up from the 32nd place in 2017, Bloomberg reported late Thursday.

The misery value of the Russian economy based on inflation and unemployment forecasts fell to 8.6 points from 8.9 in 2017.

Venezuela marked its fourth year as the world’s most miserable economy, with the misery value of 1,872 points. Ukraine, Spain, and Greece are among the top 10 most miserable economies.

Thailand is the least miserable economy in the list.
